Geekatana Game Review: Spiderman Friend or Foe

I've wanted to do the game review of Spiderman Friend or Foe for a while now. It has been on my to-do-list for months. And since Spiderman Into the Spider-verse recently hit around theaters in the Philippines now is a good a time as any to do this one.

I'm also a big superhero fan so mixing Beat Em Ups and superhero characters are always one of the best kind of beat em ups for me. Games like Captain Commando, Captain America and the Avengers and the X-men was some of my favorites.

Geekatana Anime Review: Hidan no Aria

I'm not a big fan of action harem but I can say that there are some that I actually like and I find as guilty pleasures from time to time. Not to mention some of them have really good story and characters.

Just to throwback, JC Staff has some really good animes to its name like the Slayers Series, Maid sama, Zero no Tsukaima, Toaru kagaku no Railgun series and Toradora. So you can tell that I got high hopes when I found out JC Staff was doing Hidan no Aria.

Geekatana Game Review: Evil Zone

I'm a big fan of 3d anime style fighting games such as Destrega, Psychic Force and Battle Arena Toshinden in the arcade. It's one of those easy to get into 3d none Tekken fighting games novice players like me can easily get into and enjoy. So when a game with a familiar premise like Evil Zone hits the ps1 console back in 1999 I knew I have to get a copy of the game.

Originally released as Eretzvaju in japan. Evil Zone is a 3d fighting game by Yukes which is best described as an amalgamation of Psychic Force and Destrega games.

Geekatana Movie Review: The Grinch

With the review of How the Grinch Stole Christmas done its time to jump into the latest movie adaptation of the Grinch. If you're interested on reading my review on How the Grinch Stole Christmas than just follow the link here.

Also seeing the Grinch in 3D is a nice change of pace and I'm interested on how they would execute it on film as compared to the 2000 version with Jim Carrey and the animated cartoon itself.

Geekatana Movie Review: How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)

I was supposed to do a review of the Grinch (2018) but decided to put it off a bit to re-watch the How the Grinch Stole Christmas just to have a better view of how the two plays out if compared to each other.

Geekatana Movie Review: Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck It Ralph 2

With the Wreck It Ralph review done its time to go into the 2012 movie sequel and that's the new Ralph Breaks the Internet film. If this review or the one before it feels rushed that's cause it is. But that being said I'll try to go into detail on what I like and don't like about the new film without giving away spoilers. Wreck It Ralph is one of my favorite video game movies of recent memory since it managed to do a lot of stuff most other video game related movies have failed.

Video game based movies of that past that are originally decent like Mortal Kombat sadly failed in its sequel. So yes I'm a bit nervous going into this new film.

Geekatana Movie Review: Wreck It Ralph (2012) Review

Before I get to do a review of Ralph Breaks the Internet I thought it would only be fair that I should do a review of the first movie before it and that movie is none other than Wreck It Ralph. I was supposed to do this days ago but a lot of stuff came up. But hey I'm sure by now I think everyone has seen this movie in theaters or other media source or another.

Since I wanted to give the new movie a fair judgment be comparing it to its predecessor I decided to watch the film again and do a review for my Blog. So with that cleared let's continue on with said Wreck It Ralph review.

My Top 10 Stan Lee Cameo (My Stan Lee Tribute)

I know its a little late but I still want to do a small tribute to Stan Lee the man who pretty much been a part of my childhood growing up. From the Captain America coloring book my parents got me when I was five years old, to the X-Men comics and cards I collected during my elementary days these little things was a part of my childhood and will always be a special memory for me.

I wanted to do a Top 10 Stan Lee cameos on this one. Sure it's been done countless times I'm sure but I still like to make one specially since Stan Lee has been doing cameos and what not since the MCU movies was around. He's appeared in games, television shows, comics, cartoons and even anime as far back as 1989.

Geekatana Movie Review: Bohemian Rhapsody

Bohemian Rhapsody is one of the most iconic song of the band Queen. I've probably remember this song as far back as I can remember yet despite loving their music I wasn't hyped about seeing this film specially not on the big screen. Watching a concert is one thing but watching about a movie about the band that made the songs is another thing. It's just not my cup of tea.

Yet despite this I did accompany my sister in watching this film and you can imagine I was really very skeptical if the movie will be good or not. Movies about the life of famous people usually tend to be bad and hearing the movie was more than two hours long isn't exactly helping either.

Geekatana Game Review: BloodRayne 2

Since I've done a horror anime and horror movie theme review guess I'd go round it all up and make a horror game review before Halloween month ends. Sure I could have a ton of games I can think of that could easily make this review but I've decided to make one of BloodRayne 2 since its been on my to-do-list for a while now.

Im a fan of Terminal Reality games since they released the game Nocturne for the PC but for me Blood Rayne 2 is their crowning achievement as far as horror games go. Sure fans of Starwars Kinect and Ghostbusters the Video Game would easily prove me wrong but as the saying goes you never forget your first love. Also this game is pretty violent so if you're not into these things I suggest not to read any further.

Geekatana Movie Review: The Skeleton Key

What's Halloween month without a scary movie review to go with it. But instead of reviewing the latest horror flick in theaters like Halloween I've decided to review one of my old favorite horror films back in 2005. Not to be confused with 1978 movie Skeleton Key which was a sci-fi noir film.

I went to watch this film one night with a friend back in 2005 since we wanted to waste some time at the movies. I seriously wasn't really expecting much from it but it easily blew my expectations and its probably one of my favorite horror mystery film since.
