Geekatana Movie Review: Bohemian Rhapsody

Bohemian Rhapsody is one of the most iconic song of the band Queen. I've probably remember this song as far back as I can remember yet despite loving their music I wasn't hyped about seeing this film specially not on the big screen. Watching a concert is one thing but watching about a movie about the band that made the songs is another thing. It's just not my cup of tea.

Yet despite this I did accompany my sister in watching this film and you can imagine I was really very skeptical if the movie will be good or not. Movies about the life of famous people usually tend to be bad and hearing the movie was more than two hours long isn't exactly helping either.

Geekatana Game Review: BloodRayne 2

Since I've done a horror anime and horror movie theme review guess I'd go round it all up and make a horror game review before Halloween month ends. Sure I could have a ton of games I can think of that could easily make this review but I've decided to make one of BloodRayne 2 since its been on my to-do-list for a while now.

Im a fan of Terminal Reality games since they released the game Nocturne for the PC but for me Blood Rayne 2 is their crowning achievement as far as horror games go. Sure fans of Starwars Kinect and Ghostbusters the Video Game would easily prove me wrong but as the saying goes you never forget your first love. Also this game is pretty violent so if you're not into these things I suggest not to read any further.

Geekatana Movie Review: The Skeleton Key

What's Halloween month without a scary movie review to go with it. But instead of reviewing the latest horror flick in theaters like Halloween I've decided to review one of my old favorite horror films back in 2005. Not to be confused with 1978 movie Skeleton Key which was a sci-fi noir film.

I went to watch this film one night with a friend back in 2005 since we wanted to waste some time at the movies. I seriously wasn't really expecting much from it but it easily blew my expectations and its probably one of my favorite horror mystery film since.

Geekatana Anime Review: Highschool of the Dead

It's Halloween month and I decided to make a review of a horror theme anime to fit the occasion. Sure I could probably have gone for anime with ghouls, vampires and all the other horror monster but decided to do Highschool of the Dead since well I'm a big fan of zombie games since back when I first had my first PC.

Not to be confused with Highschool DxD although fan service wise DxD and HotD aren't that much different. If I have more time I'll probably do another one of this horror anime review before the Halloween month ends.

Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck it Ralph 2 Second Official Trailer Reaction

I have been rather late for these Wreck It Ralph 2 trailer reactions but since I've already did one for the first trailer back in May of this year might as well do one for the second trailer as well.

This movie is clearly one of my most anticipated movie of the year. Specially since the first movie was a solid film for me with the right mix of geekness and story that is rare in animated films these days.

Geekatana Anime Review: Appleseed (2004)

Took a long while but I'm finally going to review the very first Appleseed (2004) movie. Appleseed is based out of the manga of created by Masamune Shirow. Back when I first heard of Appleseed I really have no idea what it was but I am no stranger to Ghost in the Shell as it's one of those movies that cemented my love for anime movies.

Appleseed is one of those movies that introduced me to cel shading in terms of animation and this film is clearly one of the best example of cel shading masterpiece. I've already made a review of Appleseed Alpha as well and you can check that out on the link if you like.

City Blends Stir Starter 7-11 Merchandise

It was my usual Tuesday morning for me as I was having my usual morning breakfast at one of the Seven Eleven branches when I first caught a gander of these things. Being a coffee lover myself I knew I have to get my hands on one if not the whole set of these City Blends Stir Starter pens.

Being a seven eleven fan I also fancy collecting novelty and collector items from their store like their Starwars the Last Jedi collectible tumbler and pouches almost a year ago. Although I did fail to collect those Deadpool 2 collectable items since they sell like pancakes I do try my best.

Transformers Cybertron Review

Transformers Cybertron is the third series in the Unicron Trilogy that was co produced by both Takara and Hasbro. Or at least that was the plan but Takara didn't follow through with the idea and so Transformers Cybertron was made into its own thing which was a good move in my opinion. I often fancy myself as having a love hate relationship with Transformers so I'm not that hardcore or into this franchise but I do admit I do enjoy it from time to time.

Transformers Cybertron came out a few years before the first Michael Bay Transformers movie and you will no doubt see similarities to the movies Optimus Prime design to this one. But I'll get to those details later.

Small Foot Movie Review

Judging by the trailers Small Foot looks and feels so much like your typical animated movies. A civilization of monsters or in this case Yeti that hides from the rest of the human world. It does feels a lot like Hotel Transylvania all over again and the ice covered setting feels a lot like Ice Age as well. As trailers go this movie is off to a rough start.

But as true moviegoers often phrase it "Never judge a movie by its trailers'" So despite the sudden rain and nearly cancelling our reserved seats we decided to judge the movie as a whole and I'm so glad to say that this movie is its own thing and more.
