I know its a little late but I still want to do a small tribute to Stan Lee the man who pretty much been a part of my childhood growing up. From the Captain America coloring book my parents got me when I was five years old, to the X-Men comics and cards I collected during my elementary days these little things was a part of my childhood and will always be a special memory for me.
I wanted to do a Top 10 Stan Lee cameos on this one. Sure it's been done countless times I'm sure but I still like to make one specially since Stan Lee has been doing cameos and what not since the MCU movies was around. He's appeared in games, television shows, comics, cartoons and even anime as far back as 1989.
With so many cameos I'm sure some of your favorites won't show up on the list but there's simple way too much too choose from. So let's get started.
Seeing
Stan Lee as a grumpy old man and telling the fresh off the superhero job
Spider-man in the 2017 Spider-man Homecoming. This embodies who Stan Lee is for a lot of folks. That man with a kindhearted charm. Kinda wished it was longer.
9. Guardians
of the Galaxy Volume 2
This
piece of cameo is special in a way that not only was it funny and unique but it
also cements the idea that all the Stan Lee persona in all these movies is just
one person and probably a Watcher too for that matter.
8. Fantastic
Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
Despite
the lack of an actual Galactus the second FF movie has the better cameo since
this shows Stan Lee as himself as he is refused entry to Reed and Sues wedding
other than just some other character.
7. Deadpool 2
A
lot of folks were surprised after seeing Stan after all this cameo in a R rated
movie like Deadpool since most of his superhero cameos are from a more kid
friendly type. Also seeing Stan as a dj for a strip club is icing on the cake.
6. Teen
Titans Go to the Movies
We never thoguht we would see the day Stan Lee will appear in a DC Film but in Teen Titans Go to the Movies thats exactly what we got. Sure
its a cartoon but his lines pretty much breaks fourth wall and makes fun of
superhero cameos in general.
5. The
Amazing Spider-man
This
is one of those rare movie cameo where Stan Lee is actually front and center on
the movie screen rather than being some background. As the heroes and villain are fighting it out in the background as Stan Lee go about his work blissfully
unaware.
4. Avengers:
Infinity War
It
was short, it was funny and pretty much Stan Lee charm as the driver of a
school bus when a spaceship appeared out of nowhere. This is a nice cameo since
it's done at the beginning of the film so viewers so viewers can concentrate on
the action and mayhem to come in the film.
3 Avengers:
Age of Ultron
Who
doesn't want to see a drunken Stan Lee on film. And thats what we got when Thor
gave Stan Lee one of his aged Azgardian drink. Seeing Stan being escorted out drunk
as he mumbles his famous catch phrase Excelsior always puts a smile on my face.
2. Thor:
Ragnarok
Seeing
Thor's frightened looked when Stan Lee the barber bust out some really sharp
cutters to give the god of thunder a haircut before his big fight was pretty
amusing. Heck I'd be scared too.
1. Spiderman
3
As
much as Spiderman franchise dropped the ball on the third Spiderman movie of
Tobey on a lot of things the film does hold one of the best Stan Lee cameo for
me. The line he mentions here speaks for himself as much as it does for Peter Parker.
