Geekatana Review - Jingle All the Way (1996) - Get to da Toyyah!!!

Jingle All the Way is a Christmas comedy film for the family that was released back in 1996. Being a big Arnold fan that I am back then I rushed and watched this in theaters along. It was directed by Brian Levant and is written by Randy Kornfield. The film was released under 20th Century Fox.

It's one of those feel good film for me where you can just watch a movie on christmas eve and have a good laugh, be entertained and have fun. Its a comedy family film set on christmas eve with Arnold Schwarzenegger and for a kid like me back then that is more than enough for me.

Geekatana Review - Onward - Two Brothers Heartfelt DnD Adventure

Onward is a animated fantasy set in an modern urban setting.  The film was produced by Pixar Animation Studios for Walt Disney Pictures. The film is directed by Dan Scanlon, produced by Kori Rae for a screenplay written by Scanlon, Jason Headley and Keith Bunin. It stars the voices of Tom HollandChris PrattJulia Louis-Dreyfus, and Octavia Spencer.

I was having second thoughts about the film as the trailer didn't impress me as much as I wanted but decided to go see it anyways. One could say I had low expectations for this film going in. But I guess you never should judge a movie by its trailer and that goes double for this one.

My Top 10 Movies of 2019

With 2019 almost its that time again to wound up my usual Top 10 Movie List of the Year. Regrettably I haven't watched much movies this year than I really wanted to but that just how it goes sometimes. So expect certain movies  not making an appearance on this list even if I'm sure they would easily make any Top 10.

This list will only include movies I've managed to watched this year. Expect some of your favorites to not to make the list cause it be a disservice to rank a film I haven't watched yet. With that thing clear let get on with the My Top 10 Movies of 2019.

Jumanji the Next Level - Doubling Up on Everything Jumanji

Jumanji: The Next Level is a 2019 American fantasy adventure comedy film directed by Jake Kasdan and written by Kasdan, Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg. The film is the sequel to 1995's Jumanji that starred Robin Williams, following 2017's Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. It is fourth installment, overall, in the Jumanji franchise

I only watched the film yesterday as the writing of this review so I'm really late in this one. I've watched Jumanji Welcome to the Jungle so I've decided to do a review on this one as well. Minor spoilers are in effect just to be sure.

Geekatana Movie Review: The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part

With the first LEGO movie out of the way it's time to do a review of sequel. I wasn't be able to watch this film on the first day as we intended to. which was February 14. I watched this film on the last day with the last screening time with my sister in a theater with only the two of us.

That was like very late at night compared to when I usually watch these movies. Just me and my sister in the theater that I can probably lay down and occupy five seats if I wanted to. It felt like a private screening and the two of us are the only ones in the theater. Kind of fun...and creepy...and really, really cold.

Geekatana Movie Review: The LEGO Movie (2014)

A lot of unsuspected stuff is happening around me lately that I'm really running short on all these review but before I delve into reviewing the second LEGO movie I'd decided to make a review of the first one since its way over due for a review at this point.

I like to add that although I'm a fan of minifig I haven't watched every LEGO film out there and this is probably my first review of a LEGO film to date. I just like to put that out there before I delve into this review.

Hobbs and Shaw Trailer Reaction

I haven't really watch every Fast and the Furious film that rolled out of theaters but even I have to admit that the franchise was thoroughly entertaining. Sure it has some elements that defy logic and reason in exchange for over the top action scenes. Most notable the usual argument of "That's not how cars work" here and there.

I thought the franchise was still on hiatus with the lost of its lead actor Paul Walker so imagine my surprise when this movie trailer dropped. It peaked my interest so much that I have to make a trailer breakdown of it. So let's break the trailer down shall we.
