Don't
be upset if the anticipated movie you wanted don't make the list however as
this is just my personal preferences when it comes to the upcoming movies of
2020. There's really no right or wrong here.
10
Bloodshot
A
superhero movie based on the Valiant comic book with the same name Bloodshot
stars Vin Diesel as Rey Garrison a deceased soldier brought back to life and
turned into biotech superhuman killing machine through the power of nanotechnology.
He is also hell bent on taking revenge on those that killed him and his wife. And
with Bloodshot you can be sure it's going to be bloody.
9 Jungle Cruise
Much like Pirates of the Caribbean before it Jungle Cruise is yet another movie based on a Disney theme park attraction. The movie will star Dwayne Johnson as the river boat captain and Emily Blunt as the passenger scientist on the hunt for a magical cure. With Dwayne as one of the main characters expect some over the top adventure, action and comedy on this one.
8 Sonic the Hedgehog
After receiving much backlash cause of Sonics weird design Sonic is finally shaping up to be a proper Sonic live action film. Sure the redesigning of Sonic lead for the film to be pushed back from its scheduled 2019 release but Sonic never looked better. If anything else this movie also marks Jim Carreys return to comedic form as the evil Bobotnik.
7 Free Guy
Ryan Reynolds takes the role of Free Guy a supposed bankteller "guy" that is an non player character (npc) in a violent video game of sort who suddenly become self aware and decides to take control of his destiny and goes against his own programming. Humor, over the top action and crazy misadventures follows.
6 Ghostbuster Afterlife
After the disaster that is the all female lead Ghostbuster reboot Paul Feig will direct a proper sequel to the second Ghostbuster film. There's little known about the film aside that it takes place a few years after the second film and some of the original cast like Sigourney Weaver will most likely be returning for this film. It is rumored to have a brand new cast taking on the role as new Ghostbusters.
5 James Bond: No Time to Die
Being the 25th Bond film in the franchise No Time to Die will star Daniel Craig as he takes on the role of the famous spy for the fifth time. Joining him is Rami Malek who was recently won best actor in another film. Also joining him is Lashana Lynch as a rumored new female Agent 007. Style, Intrigue, high risk and action. What more can you want from a Bond movie.
4 Birds of Prey
Coming right off the success of Suicide Squad Margot Robbie is back as Harley Quinn as she joins an all DC female team as they face off against Ewan McGregor as the Black Mask. Joining Margot for the ride are Jurnee Smollett-Bell and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Black Canary and Huntress.
3 Mulan
Following the trend of Disneys live action adaptation comes the much beloved Mulan. There will be no doubt a lot of differences from the Disney cartoon in terms of character and execution but the trailer is looking good. The movie will star Liu Yifei as the main character Mulan along with other Chinese stars like Donnie Yen, Gong Li and jet Li.
2 Wonder Woman 1984
Gal Gadot return to his role as Wonder Woman in the new film as the Amazon princess faces off with Kristen Wiig as the Cheetah as one of the movies supposed new villain. Set around the 80's cold war of the Wonder Woman 1984 will also see the return of Chris Pine as Trevor who supposedly died in the previous film.
HONORABLE MENTIONS: Artemis Foul, Scoob, A Quiet Place 2, The Invisible Man, The Eternals, Bad Boys for Life, The King;'s Man
1 Black Widow
The first of supposed Marvel's Phase 4 movies focusing on Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff character Black Widow. A prequel story by the looks of the trailer and touching on the Widows past. Johansson will be joined by David Harbour, Rachel Weisz, and rising star Florence Pugh, among others.
