My 10 Most Anticipated Movies of 2021

Was really planning to do this kind of Top 10 at the start of the year but was kept being held back. Better now than much later I guess so anyways this will be My Top 10 Most Anticipated movie of 2021. This is a hard list to put as there are a lot of good movies coming out this year.

I also like to remind folks once again that this is a personally list of mine so don't pull a string when your anticipated movies don't make it here. Everyone has their own favorites and films they are most excited to see coming out this 2021. So anyways lets all just dive into it.

10 - Free Guy

First on the Free guy is the tale of a bank teller (NPC) person in an open world action filled video game who has become self aware and decide to do something about his situation. It stars Ryan Reynolds so expect some fourth wall humor and crazy over the top action on this one.

9 - Venom: Let there be Carnage

Due to the blockbuster success of Venom coming up at number 9 is Venom 2 or specifically Venom: Let There be Carnage. There's very little known about the movie aside from the cast and that it will have Carnage in it. If your familiar with Carnage you are pretty much sure this will be a lot more violent and crazy than the first film.

8 - Black Widow

And at number 8 is the prequel movie of Scarlett Johansson's iconic character Black Widow. This film will be part of Marvel Phase 4 of movies. Joining her in the movie would be David Harbour, Rachel Weisz, and rising star Florence Pugh among others. Expect some espionage Marvel style action on this one.

 

7 - Fast and Furious 9

At number 7 for me would be the fast and the Furious 9. The franchise has come a long way from a movie about street racing to pretty much superhero spy film with race cars. This time around the cast is joined by John Cena who is an assassin out for blood. Also Han is back.

 

6 - Ghostbuster: Afterlife

Getting at number 6 is Ghostbuster: Afterlife which promises to be a direct sequel to the original Ghostbuster franchise. There is very little known about the plot aside from its setting and cast with Finn and Grace playing as siblings with or without some connection to the original characters from the original film. There's also word that the original cast will appear on the film as well

 

5 - No Time to Die

And at number 5 is No Time to Die. Its the 25th Bond film and being a Bond fan since as long as I can remember I am looking forward to this new film. Remi Malek will be in the film as its movies villain. Joining them also is Lashana who is rumored to be the new 007 this time around. Expect action and charm only James Bond can bring to the table.

 

4 - The Suicide Squad

A follow up to the 2016 Suicide Squad. The film sees the return of most of the cast with John Cena and Elba joining the cast this time around. This one will be directed by James Gunn which is no stranger to superhero films and I am so looking forward on what he can do with a DC movie this time around.

 

3 - Mortal Kombat

Coming up at number 3 is the new Mortal Kombat film. If the trailer is any indication on this one is that it's going to be more true to the game than any of the first Mortal Kombat movie that came before it. The casting looks really solid and the setting seems to be almost feels ripped from the actual game itself.

 

2 - Godzilla vs Kong

The much awaited beat down between Kong and Godzilla since 1962. Sure the plot is a bit paper thin since we know very little but folks don't watch this movie for the plots and just want to see the a really big monkey and a really big lizard each other silly. Big cgi fight I'm sure but it promised to be really entertaining.

 

1 - Spiderman 3

And finally at number 1 is the upcoming Spiderman 3 film with Tom Holland. After the cliffhanger after credits ending of the second film the film is really hyped specially with the number of rumors of returning characters said to be shown on this film. It is said to be going to feature more than one Spiderman and more villains than any spiderman movie to date. It is both exciting and scary.
