Top Gun Maverick - Veteran pilot teaches Top Gun pilots for Impossible Mission

Top Gun: Maverick is a sequel to the 1986 film Top Gun with Tom Cruise reprising his starring role as the naval aviator Maverick. It is directed by Joseph Kosinski and written by Ehren Kruger, Eric Warren Singer, and Christopher McQuarrie based on a story by Peter Craig and Justin Marks, that are based on characters of the original film created by Jim Cash and Jack Epps Jr. It also stars Val Kilmer, Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, and Ed Harris.

The film tells the story of Pete "Maverick" Mitchell callsign Maverick as he is task in training a group of younger Top Gun graduates, including the son of his deceased best friend, for a dangerous mission. A past Maverick regrets so much. Also spoilers ahead.

Akame ga Kill - the anime version of the Game of Thrones but more bloody

Akame ga Kill is an anime series based on a manga written by Takahiro and illustrated by Tetsuya Tashiro. It was serialized in Square Enix's Monthly Gangan Joker that spans 15 volumes. The anime series was directed by Tomoki Kobayashi and written by Makoto Uezu under studio White Fox. Also Takahiro supervised the anime with Taku Iwasaki composing the shows music.

The anime was licensed by Sentai Filmworks back in 2014 and is one of the most watched anime in its time block. It follows the story of Tatsumi, a young villager who travels to the Capital to raise money for his home only to discover strong corruption in the area and soon was recruited by Night Raid an assassin group that fights these corrupt Empire.

Peter Grill and the Philosophers Time - the tale of Peter Grill and his Peter Sauce

 Based on a Japanese fantasy manga series by Daisuke Hiyama, Peter Grill and the Philiosophers Time is an anime television series adaptation by Wolfsbane. Its directed by Tatsumi, with Nora Mōri writing the scripts and Rui Ishige designing the characters.

Peter Grill after being crowned the strongest man in the world promised to marry Luvelia Sanctus and remain pure for her. However, the ogre sisters Mimi and Lisa Alpacas want his seed in order to give birth to strong offspring. In fact a lot of the other girls from other races sets their sight on Peter with the same goal making his life rather complicated.

Wednesday (tv series) - Basically a What If of Nancy Drew if she was a snarky Goth girl

Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, Wednesday is a horror comedy tv series that is based based upon the character Wednesday Addams from The Addams Family. Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, it stars Jenna Ortega as the main character. Also four of the eight episodes are directed by Tim Burton, he serves also as the shows executive producer.

The series revolves around the titular character, who attempts to solve a monster mystery at her school. It mixes dark comedy and horror element with mystery solving element. I was planning to do this review during November but I couldn’t finish the series fast enough. Anyways on with the review and minor spoilers flag is up just in case.

A Certain Scientific Railgun - Really cute girls with Esper super powers

An anime series adaptation by J.C.Staff. Based on A Certain Scientific Railgun is Japanese manga series written by Kazuma Kamachi and illustrated by Motoi Fuyukawa, The series was licensed in North America by Funimation, The series ran for about 24 episodes.

The student-filled Academy City is at the forefront of scientific advancement and home to the esper development program. The seven "Level 5" espers are the most powerful in Academy City, and ranked third among them is middle schooler Mikoto Misaka, an electricity manipulator known as "The Railgun."

My Top 12 Anime of 2022

2022 is almost over so I have decided to make a TOP 12 Anime of 2022 list. This is 12 of what I think is some of the must watch anime of 2022. This list covers the whole 2022 anime. So if it first aired in 2022 its probably on the list. Why 12 you ask? Well 10 is a bit small since there are really a lot of good anime that came out this year. I would like to add that all of these are new anime so sequels don’t count, only the first seasons. So don’t expect to see anime like Overlord Season 4 on this list.

Also these are anime that I have watched and familiar with so certain so there is definitely not a definitive list. If you like an anime that isn’t on here then by all means go ahead and watch it. Also everyone has their own opinion on what is best for them so take this as just a suggestion. Anyways let us get on with the Top 12 list.

Eighty Six - A deep sci fi war drama with a touch of horror

86: EIGHTY-SIX  is a series produced by Aniplex and production led by A-1 Pictures, a and synonymously known as simply 86, is an anime adaptation of Asato Asato's sci-fi light novel series published by ASCII Media Works. Major Vladilena "Lena" Milizé as she is assigned as a Handler for the Spearhead Squadron an elite unit composed entirely of Eighty-Sixer veterans led by their squad leader, Shinei "Undertaker" Nouzen.

Together under the Republic they fight against the Empire’s autonomous mechanical Legion. Along the way Lena and Shinei learns the darker truth about the Republic, the Empire and the Legion. For this review minor spoiler flag is up so be warned.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - An entertaining movie for kids and Sonic fans alike

A film based on the video game series published by Sega, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is the sequel to the movie Sonic the Hedgehog and stars Ben Schwartz, Jim Carrey, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter and  Idris Elba.

The film follows Sonic who following the events of the first film wants to prove he has the makings of a hero, his big test comes when the evil Doctor Robotnik returns, alongside his new sidekick, Knuckles the Echidna, in search from the Master Emerald. Sonic team-ups with Tails to find the Emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.

Kamen Rider Zero One - breathing new life to the Human vs Robot theme

The first Kamen Rider series to debut during the Reiwa period and the thirtieth overall. It aired under TV Asahi with Takahito Omori as producer and Yuya Takahashi, Masaya Kakehi, Riku Sanjo, Minato Takano as writers under Toei and Bandai. Kamen Rider Zero One revolves around the theme of humanoid robots called Humagear living with humanity as tool. And pioneering this robot advancement is Hiden Technology and its newly appointed street comedian turned company president Aruto Hiden who is the typical fish out of water in the robot business world. Along with his stoic yet charming Humagear secretary Izu they fight off rogue Humagear group that wants to wipe out humanity.

With the help of Artificial Intelligence Military Service or A.I.M.S. (I kid you not) his company keeps the world safe(well mostly japan) from dangerous Humagear. Along with being president and to help him fight these evil Humagear he also inherits the a belt that turns him into a Kamen Rider.

Ms Marvel - A Disney and Marvels superhero series geared for younger viewers

Ms Marvel is an American television miniseries created by Bisha K. Ali for the streaming service Disney+, based on the Marvel Comics featuring the character Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel.  It follows Kamala Khan, a 16-year-old fangirl of the Avengers who struggles to fit in until she gains her own powers.  It is the seventh television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) produced by Marvel Studios. It shows continuity with the other movies and tv series in the MCU.

Im not really familiar with Ms Marvel aside from seeing her as a playable character in that Marvel LEGO game years back. All I know by the looks in that game is that shes basically like Mister Fantastic in the way her powers look. In any case lets go on with the review. Also minor spoiler flag is up.

Andor - An intricate tale of the beginnings of a thief turned Rebel spy

 Andor is the the fourth live-action series in the Star Wars franchise, as well as a prequel to the spin-off film Rogue One (2016). The show was created by Tony Gilroy for the streaming service Disney+. It follows thief-turned-Rebel spy Cassian Andor during the five years that lead to the events of the film. Diego Luna reprises his role as Cassian Andor and also serves as an executive producer. Joining him are Kyle Soller, Adria Arjona, Joplin Sibtain, James McArdle, Rupert Vansittart, Stellan Skarsgård, Fiona Shaw.

The most notable problem with this series starting up is that if you been following Starwars you know the character Andor survives until said movie Rogue One so a lot of the folks are really skeptical if such a tv series would work. Personally I love Rogue One but I didn’t exactly saw the movie cause of the character Andor. So short to say the series had a lot of expectations to fill.
