I
first played this on Easy mode back then since I'm more used to turn based JRPG
than the more frantic action RPG that most Star Ocean games are. I did play
this game recently on Normal mode prior to writing this review to get a better
feel of the differences in gameplay of both the Modes.

Geekatana Game Review: Star Ocean Till the End of Time
Star
Ocean Till the End of Time isn't the first Star Ocean game since I did play a
good part of Star Ocean 2 for the PS1. It's probably because of the Star Ocean
2 is why I picked Star Ocean Till the End of Time for the PS2 when it was
released for the PS2 way back in 2004.

Geekatana Movie Review: Toy Story 4
Toy
Story didn't need a fourth film and I think a lot of folks would agree that all
the three movies should be left alone as it is. No offense to Pixar and Disney
but having a fourth film of Toy Story is pretty much milking the franchise
already. Toy Story 1 to 3 was already the complete package. It started out
strong, it had a great build up and it ended in a very fitting big finale very
few movie trilogy can ever accomplished.
You
could tell I have a lot of doubts for this film since this movie came out of
nowhere and I doubt the fans was pushing for a fourth one. The trailer only made
it worst since the trailer mirrors pretty much what the first Toy Story was
almost beat by beat.

Geekatana Movie Review: Toy Story 3 (2010)
This
will be my quick review of Toy Story 3. The last movie before I start my review
of the fourth Toy Story film. This film come out back in 2010 and has
constantly improved upon itself in small steps. It was Pixar and Disney's first
attempt at a fully computer animated film back in 1995.
It's
been over ten years since the second film and a lot of folks have all nearly
given up on seeing another Toy Story movie to hit theaters. I'm sure a lot of
folks are skeptical whether this third film will be as good as the two previous
films before it.

Geekatana Movie Review: Toy Story 2 (1999)
Released
four years after the original Toy Story the plot that was to be the sequel to
the original 1995 film wasn't originally made to be a full animated motion
picture and was supposed to be a direct to video sequel instead. The folks at
Pixar and Disney however pushed for the plot to be turned into a movie so
around thirty minutes of additional animated footage was added.
As
most movie critics would tell you getting a movie sequel to work is very, very hard.
Most movie sequels tend to fell short of the original and is often the downfall
so the folks at Pixar and Disney must be really confident to push this one into
movie form.
Geekatana Movie Review: Toy Story (1995)
Although
Toy Story was released back in November 1995 it wasn't until 1996 of May did it
saw released in the Philippines. With the fourth installment of the Toy Story
franchise hitting theaters in a few days I've decided to freshen up on how it
all started by reviewing every Toy Story movie that was ever released in
theaters.
Created
by Pixar and released by Walt Disney Toy Story was one of those animated
features that are aimed towards kids and young adults but has enough on the
nose content that adults and parents alike can relate to as well. Something
both Pixar and Disney seem to have slowly mastered.

Geekatana Anime Review: Accel World
I
probably should have reviewed Sword Art Online first but I decided to do its
lesser not so famous brother since it probably deserve more attention than it
currently got. The anime adopts the first 4 of the light novel while adding
elements from the 10th novel.
Some
would even argue that of all of Reiki Kawahara works Accel World actually surpasses
Sword Art Online overall as an anime of this genre and after watching the anime
I sort of get the reason why they said that.

Geekatana Game Review: Bloody Roar 4
My
first introduction to the Bloody Roar franchise was with Bloody Roar 2 for the
PS1. I was already into 3d fighting games like Virtua Fighter, Toshinden,
Tekken and the likes in the arcade. Although admittedly not a hardcore fighting
game player I do enjoy a decent scuffle even if I probably lose half of the
matches. It's one of those simple guilty pleasures back then.
It
took me some time to get a PS2 and by the time I got it the franchise is
already up to Bloody Roar 4 for the PS2. So like any fan of the series I bought
a copy and played the living daylights out of it until I need to replace my
controller due to over use.

Geekatana Movie Review: X-Men: Dark Phoenix
The
X-men film by Fox Studios has always been a hit or miss for fans since the
first one back in 2000 for various reasons and having the Phoenix story line
already been partially retold in X-men the Last Stand isn't giving X-Men Dark
Phoenix any favors. Is this movie a reboot of sort or just another retelling of
the well loved X-men comic story? All this mixed signals and a so and so
trailer isn't doing this new X film any favors.
I've
been an X-men fan since as far back as high school but I'm in no means a
hardcore fan and I can barely name every X-men character off the top of my head.
Neither did I watched every X-men movie that was put to film and even I was
skeptical at the least. Expectations was at an all time low as I entered the
theater. Also minor spoilers.

Geekatana Movie Review: The Secret Life of Pets 2
Now
we got the first film out of the way lets dive into the sequel. The Secret Life
of Pets 2 is a sequel to the first movie that came out back in 2016. The first
film was the sixth highest grossing film of that year earning 875 million
dollars worldwide so like most high earning films its producers the folks at Illumination
Studio wanted to make a sequel.
The
first film has had mixed reviews from movie critics but the movie was all in
account still considered a box office hit. With the over abundance of superhero movies this might be a nice icebreaker.
Geekatana Movie Review: The Secret Life of Pets (2016)
Before
I do a review of movie the Secret Life of Pets 2 I've decided to do a quick
review of the first film that came before it. The year 2016 was a roller-coaster of a year specially when you know that the all girls Ghostbuster reboot came in
the same July month this film was shown in theaters so this movie flew right
pass me.
But
enough with talking about that and let us just dive into the review since I
still have to do a review of the second film after this one.

Geekatana Anime Review: Pumpkin Scissors
Pumpkin
Scissor is an anime that despite the name has nothing to do with pumpkin and
scissors. It's an anime produced by Gonzo that aired back in 2006. If you had
Animax around that year you might have the off chance of seeing this being
aired as I did. This anime probably went
under the radar for a lot of people since 2006 was also the year Black Lagoon,
Code Geass, Gintama and Haruhi was also released.
This
was one of those anime that had potential but due to one reason or another
never got the recognition or goal it set out to achieve. For the purpose of
this review I'll probably touch on a few spoiler territory for this review. But
hopefully not too much.
