Kamen Rider Black Sun (2022) vs Mask Rider Black (1987) Comparison

Since Im finally done reviewing Kamen Rider Black Sun I guess Ill go do a comparison of the two of which one is better for me. This kind of comparison has probably done lots of time before but I still wanted to do my own take on it. Don’t get upset when on what you read since this is more of a personal preference comparison if anything. For this comparison I won’t bring up Kamen Rider Black RX since the Black Sun series is more based on Rider Black.

This is my first time doing this so do forgive me if I do it half hazardly. For this one the comparison for the series will be based mostly on STORY, CHARACTERS, SPECIAL EFFECTS, COSTUME, CINEMATOGRAPHY and MUSIC.

Kamen Rider Black Sun (2022) - Something old combined with something new

Co-production between Ishimori Productions and Toei,  Kamen Rider Black Sun is a Japanese tokusatsu web drama and a reimagining of the 1987 series Kamen Rider Black. The series is part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the Kamen Rider Series, also celebrating the 35th anniversary of Kamen Rider Black. It stars Nishijima Hidetoshi as Minami Kotaro / Kamen Rider Black Sun and  Nakamura Tomoya as Akizuki Nobuhiko / Kamen Rider Shadow Moon, with Hirasawa Kokoro as Izumi Aoi.

I’m not a hardcore kamen Rider fan but I do have some memories of the 1987 kamen Rider Black back when it was aired locally back then. It is one of the first kamen Rider experience I had growing up as well so it holds a lot of fond memories for me. That said, I will try not let nostalgia sway me from reviewing this one. Also minor spoilers flag for this one just in case.

Geekatana Review - WW84 (Wonder Woman 1984) - The Hunt for a Stone in 1984

Wonder Woman 84 or often called WW84 is a superhero film based on the DC Comics character Wonder Woman. It is the sequel to 2017's Wonder Woman and the ninth installment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). The film is directed by Patty Jenkins from a script she wrote with Geoff Johns and Dave Callaham, based on a story by Johns and Jenkins. It stars  Gal Gadot as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman, alongside Chris PineKristen WiigPedro PascalRobin Wright, and Connie Nielsen.

As the title suggest tells adventures of Wonder Woman back in the year 1984. Although the trailers felt a bit lacking for me it i still one of the DC films I was excited to see specially after how exceptionally well the first Wonder Woman movie was. The first movie has issues but it was still great and I was in high hopes on what the next Wonder Woman film would bring to the table. As usual there will be minor spoilers for this review cause theres quite a bit to talk about.

Geekatana Review - Jingle All the Way (1996) - Get to da Toyyah!!!

Jingle All the Way is a Christmas comedy film for the family that was released back in 1996. Being a big Arnold fan that I am back then I rushed and watched this in theaters along. It was directed by Brian Levant and is written by Randy Kornfield. The film was released under 20th Century Fox.

It's one of those feel good film for me where you can just watch a movie on christmas eve and have a good laugh, be entertained and have fun. Its a comedy family film set on christmas eve with Arnold Schwarzenegger and for a kid like me back then that is more than enough for me.

Top 10 Underrated Anime Girls

A Top Ten Female Anime list has been done more often than I can count so I've decided to do one myself but instead of using well known series I've decided to do one from underrated and less known anime. Some may argue on what anime is truly underrated and a lot of folks have different opinions on what is underrated for them so I'm sure a lot of anime characters won't make this list. So for that I apologize in advance.

I originally wanted to post this months ago but I can't seem to find the right timing to do one and stuff keep pilling up one after the other that it was kept being held back. In any case better now than never I guess. That being said I'd like to hear what you think also. In any case let us get on with the Top 10 Underrated Anime Girls.

Geekatana Review - From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) - When Desperado meets Vampires

From Dusk till Dawn is a 1996 American action horror film directed by Robert Rodriguez and written by Quentin Tarantino. It stars Harvey KeitelGeorge Clooney, Tarantino, and Juliette Lewis. After enjoying financial success at the box office, it has since become a cult film. Also its Halloween month again so I've decided to do a movie review of this horror classic.

I'm a fan of Tarantino and Clooney after seeing the movie how well they did with the movie Desperado so I immediately got into this one as well. Sadly I never got to watch this on the big screen as I did with movie Desperado. Anyways minor spoilers and let us get on with the review.

Geekatana Review - Alita: Battle Angel (2019) - Cyborg girl gets second Chance at life and kills other cyborgs

Alita: Battle Angel is a 2019 American cyberpunk-action film based on Japanese manga artist Yukito Kishiro's 1990s series Gunnm and its 1993 original video animation adaptation, Battle Angel. It was directed by Robert Rodriguez, produced by James Cameron and written by Cameron and Laeta Kalogridis.

I'll admit I'm not a fan of the Alita and I haven't watched the animated OVA until last year. In fact this review was put on a backburner for a while that I almost forgot to do it. Still to make up for ignoring Battle Angel Alita for so long I did watched the OVA before doing this review so I'll have a more understanding of things. Anyways let's get on with the review...oh and also minor spoilers ahead.

Geekatana Review - Money Heist (Season 1-2) - A Professor and a bunch of City Steal a lot of Money

Money Heist. is a Spanish heist crime drama television series created by Álex Pina. It is also known as La casa de papel, ("The House of Paper") The series was initially intended as a limited series to be told in two parts. It had its original run of 15 episodes on Spanish network Antena 3.  Netflix acquired global streaming rights in late 2017. It re-cut the series into 22 shorter episodes and released them worldwide. It currently has 4 seasons but for this review I'll be reviewing the first two season as they are more connected as one story arc.

I have heard about this series last year but it never really peeked my interest. Police drama was never my cup of tea so I tend to ignore these kind of series. Eventually though I decided to really dive into it thanks to yet another close friend highly recommending to give it a shot. Also there might be possible spoilers on this one.
