Geekatana Review - WW84 (Wonder Woman 1984) - The Hunt for a Stone in 1984

Wonder Woman 84 or often called WW84 is a superhero film based on the DC Comics character Wonder Woman. It is the sequel to 2017's Wonder Woman and the ninth installment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). The film is directed by Patty Jenkins from a script she wrote with Geoff Johns and Dave Callaham, based on a story by Johns and Jenkins. It stars  Gal Gadot as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman, alongside Chris PineKristen WiigPedro PascalRobin Wright, and Connie Nielsen.

As the title suggest tells adventures of Wonder Woman back in the year 1984. Although the trailers felt a bit lacking for me it i still one of the DC films I was excited to see specially after how exceptionally well the first Wonder Woman movie was. The first movie has issues but it was still great and I was in high hopes on what the next Wonder Woman film would bring to the table. As usual there will be minor spoilers for this review cause theres quite a bit to talk about.

My Top 10 Most Anticipated Movies of 2019

The year 2018 is over and its been a really awesome year with movies some great and some not so good. I was planning to do My Top 10 Best movies of the year but the year isn't over yet so Ill do one better and do a My Top 10 Most Anticipated Movie for 2019. Trailers and what not has been popping up so I guess now is a good time as any to make one.

With so many movies scheduled for next year it's a good sign that a lot of your favorites aren't going to make this list since this are mostly movies I'm specifically excited about. This is a tough list to make since there are a lot of movies I'm also excited to see that didn't make the Top 10 list.

Teen Titans Go to the Movies Movie Review

To start things up I'd like to point out that I'm a fan of the original Teen Titans TV Series but not so much Teen Titans Go. I feel that the original Teen Titans have the right mix of action, comedy and storytelling elements I'd want in a cartoon. Teen Titans Go although a decent cartoon onto itself leans way too much on the comedic side for my taste thus losing much of the twist and deep storytelling portion that made the first series standout.

And it doesn't help either that the trailer just feels like a typical Teen Titans Go episode stretched to an hour and a half. So you can easily tell when me and my sister suddenly decided to watch Teen Titans Go to the Movies on opening day my expectations isn't all that high.

My Top 10 Movies of 2017

Watching movies is pastime of mine when Ive got the time or budget to do so. It goes up there with surfing the internet, playing video games, watching anime and the likes. But I dont watch every movie out there unless its geek or otaku related or anywhere in between. But with that being said I did managed to watch over twelve movies this year. A lot of which are good, some not so much, then theres a few that makes me question why I went to watch it and what Im doing with my life.

Since my Blog is rather new I only managed to review or score those that Ive watched after my Blog was set up so there are a lot of movies that have yet to be reviewed on this Blog but that doesnt necessary mean I cannot make my Top 10 best movies from 2017 can I. Mind you this is my Top 10 movies. Movies that I really like. Im sure some of your favorite movies might not be on this list. But thats ok. We have our own favorites. With that thing cleared lets get to the Top 10 list.

Justice League: Unite the Fans

Collectors, toy enthusiasts, comic and movie fans alike will be treated to a fun-filled day at the Justice League Unite the Fans Event in Trinoma from November 3-4. It's the second leg of the event with the first being held at Glorietta last October 27-28.

Filled with Batman toys and memorabilia from the earlier days of Batman and the Justice League (JL), this is a DC fan paradise likely to get anyone hyped up for the upcoming JL movie.

With display shelves lined up with various Batman and Justice League action figures for that oh so great nostalgia trip back to memory lane to the beginnings of Batman and the Justice League members.
