Geekatana Anime Review: Appleseed (2004)

Took a long while but I'm finally going to review the very first Appleseed (2004) movie. Appleseed is based out of the manga of created by Masamune Shirow. Back when I first heard of Appleseed I really have no idea what it was but I am no stranger to Ghost in the Shell as it's one of those movies that cemented my love for anime movies.

Appleseed is one of those movies that introduced me to cel shading in terms of animation and this film is clearly one of the best example of cel shading masterpiece. I've already made a review of Appleseed Alpha as well and you can check that out on the link if you like.

Appleseeed Alpha (2014) Review

My original plan was to do a review of the first Appleseed movie (2004) then Appleseed Ex Machina (2007) then Appleseed Alpha (2014) just doing it in chronological order of the time each movie was released but since Appleseed Alpha is the prequel to both Appleseed and the Ex Machina I've decided to do that first hopefully making it less confusing in term of events timeline. 

I haven't done an anime review in quite a while since I'm mostly caught up doing movie reviews since the year started. So why not do an anime review that is also a movie as well.
