It
was my usual Tuesday morning for me as I was having my usual morning breakfast
at one of the Seven Eleven branches when I first caught a gander of these
things. Being a coffee lover myself I knew I have to get my hands on one if not
the whole set of these City Blends Stir Starter pens.
Being
a seven eleven fan I also fancy collecting novelty and collector items from
their store like their Starwars the Last Jedi collectible tumbler and pouches almost
a year ago. Although I did fail to collect those Deadpool 2 collectable items since
they sell like pancakes I do try my best.
The
City Blend stir starter pen was a little tricky to get though as you can't buy
the whole set in one go but you need to gather stickers that is attached to a
coffee cup on your purchase. So one sticker per cup. And you need to get at
least 7 stickers to get one City Blend stir starter. Even then you need to add
11 pesos to the 7 stickers to get one City Blend stir starter.
If
you do collect 12 stickers you automatically get 1 stirrer free. But if
anything that those Seven Eleven Deadpool promo taught me is that time isn't
usually on your side and these items could easily get out of stock fast. So I opted
to just pay the additional 11 pesos just to get the stirrer as fast as I can.
But
still 7 stickers is no easy feat. Not to mention it's going to take some
serious lucky to get all five since they come in blind boxes each time. Not to
mention 7 cups of coffee is way too much for one person to do. So I needed help.
So
two to three weeks before the deadline of October 23 I managed to get all five
of them collected thanks to the combined efforts of my mom, my sister and a
couple of coffee drinking folks that helped me gather the stickers I needed to
complete at least 7 of the minimum requirement of each City Blends stir
starter.
It did took some luck and a lot of help to actually get all five of them but I did
managed to get at least three of them in one go and just traded the last two City
Blends Stir Starter with other folks that have double of what I need. Sure its
a chore but it's also a lot of fun to do so plus you make quick friends along the
way.
The
City Blend stir starter looks good on any work table whether you're at the
office or at home. Each one with their own cute tagline from Coffee Time!, Need
Coffee Now to my personally favorite Coffee is Life.
The
fun thing about these City Blends stir starter is that it's also a working pen
that you use to write and the toper part also fits your standard size pen or
pencil. Although judging by the novelty aspect of these things its highly
unlikely anyone's going to use them as a stirrer and more of a collectors
thing.
Collect all five wonderful designs! #StirYourDayWrite #711ph
