Manila Hobbies and Collectibles Convention 2020 - Starting the year with Gundam, Funko and a lot More

Manila Hobbies & Collectibles Convention 2020 is the a most beloved event for toy fans and collectors alike. If you are into toys new toys, retro toys, Gundam or even anything geek and otaku related from action figures to shirts you will find something to love.

This two day event covering from january 18-19 is one of the first event of the year 2020 for me. It was held in Megamall MEGATRADE HALL 3 at the 5th level of SM Megamall. And being a casual toy enthusiast as I am I simply cannot pass this one and decided cover it on my Blog.

Of course theres the Gundam booth where they are offering a whopping 70% discount on selected Gundam. Definitely a time to get that rare gunpla you been eyeing to buy for a long while now. All courtesy of Gundam Philippines and Toy Town. Sadly they still didn't have the new anniversary Gundam x Hello Kitty yet. Maybe next time.

There are also an assortment of toys on display from giant figures of Godzilla, Voltes V and Voltron right down to Starwars on LEGO and a whole lot more. They even have LEGO minifigures and Sailormoon and Reyeath for the otaku fan out there.

And of course there's loads of Funko POPs from really rare ones to nearly anything you can think of that has been turned into Funko form. If you can think of any character be it movie, anime or games chances are theres a Funko Pop version of that said character out there. They also have costumes and anime shirts as well.

And of course theres the anime figures and other otaku accessories for the anime lovers out there ranging from shirts to action figures. They range from the all time favorite dragonball to Love Life. They come in different forms and sizes too. There is even anime figures of characters out there that I didn't know existed until now.

They also have the usual Toy Auction and the artist Alley that does art commissions and custom pins, comics and stickers

I did buy a cute light up key chain from one of the booths and I also found a very rare R2D2 droid. It's a vintage action figure and some of the joints don't move as well but it still looks as beautiful as the day it was released I got it at a great discount too. And after the many movies the little fella has been and cameo into I say it's definitely worth the purchase.

I also got a resin cast custom made Baby Yoda figure from sir Jeffrey Benitez at the art booth section. You can check out Guess the baby Yoda and the Mandalorian hype is still calling to me. (Can't wait for Season 2) Also got a signed postcard art from sir Jeffrey for free too with the purchase. You can check out his FB Page here for other great stuff. Yey!

Manila Hobbies & Collectibles Convention 2020 is definitely an event for the toy loving part in everyone. It's just fun just to browse the aisles and just see what sort of surprise you will find.

Overall it was another awesome event much like last year.

Special thanks to all the close friends I met during the event from fellow   cosplayers, photogs and toy collector.  Hope to see you all again in the next one.
