Need for Speed Heat Trailer - Faster Cars and Angrier Cops

The trailer of Need for Speed Heat has just dropped and its looking very promising. From the combined creative minds of EA and Ghost Games comes the latest addition to the ever expanding NFS game lineup. This is just a trailer analysis however and the final game might be totally different.

The trailer pretty much taking place in a fictional Miami inspired city of Palm City. Perhaps a not so subtle homage to Miami's Street racing. The game isn't set in the 80's but the neon title is probably a subtle nod to it just the same. The trailer has a Mexican accent and has that 2 Fast 2 Furious feel to it all and the cops seem to be on your neck more than ever this time with police choppers and a police anti hero/villain character thrown in.

The familiar mechanics of street races and police chases are still there with probably more concentration on the customization. It's most likely going to mix the sanctioned day time races and the shady underground races where you race for reputation and respect. The cops will be on your back and I'm not sure they are going to do this by the books either.

There's no list of exact cars that will be shown in Need for Speed Heat. But it does seem to focus more on customizing your ride. Judging by the trailing a lot of the favorites will make an appearance like Polestar, the Aston Martin among others. The Polestar is a hybrid car so it's probably a hint on how deep the customization can get....also did I see a Ferrari in that trailer too?

The game comes out for XBox One, PC and the PS4 around November this year as an early christmas present to NFS gamers with the usual early access promos.

EA Games has mention it will include a "surprise mechanics" for NFS Heat which has a lot of gamers still skeptical. Specially with the not so popular loot boxes and micro transaction but we hope its all for the better.

EA did hinted that a lot of the custom content will most likely be on daily or weekly events. It's does not guarantee you won't pay to get the full game experience but its something in the right direction. Guess we will find out more as November inches close.

What do you folks think? Are you all excited for NFS Heat as I am? Whats the best NFS game for you so far?
