The
first trailer for Spiderman Far from Home just dropped on Sony Pictures Entertainment
youtube channel and Ive decided to give you my thoughts on the new trailer
based on what most folks know about it so far. Mostly how much of the trailer
aligns to the rumors and leak footages and possible plot of Spiderman Far from
Home as far as these rumors go. There might be spoiler to previous Marvel movies
on this so you have been warned.
As
always this isn't a definitive analysis on the trailer as this is just my
thoughts and interpretation on said traielr and a lot of it might not be true
or its just Marvel leading audiences on as you know marvel is known to show
trailers that end up differently from the final film itself.
The
trailer opens up with Peter Parker suit up as Spider-man surprisingly with Aunt
may on his side. So does this mean Aunt may knows he is Spider man or maybe
just a stand in since Aunt May pretty much saw Peter in the Spider suit at the
end credits scene of Spider-man Homecoming.
I
like to add that this Homeless charity event pays homage to Aunt May in the Marvel
Spider-man game for the PS4 where Aunt May also helps with the Homeless charity
as well. not sure if they are going to connect the game to the film more than
this but that would be interesting to see if they did.
Eventually
we learn that Spider-man is going on a school field trip to Europe along with
his classmate. It's something that was brought up in some leaked footages and rumors
these past few months.
What strike me is how come Nick Fury suddenly appeared
in his hotel room without him noticing it. Is his Spider senses in a glitch? he
did sense that flying saucer in Infinity War without even seeing it. Does Fury
has some sort of sense dampening tech or ability?
So
eventually Fury recruits Spider-man on some mission ala James Bond-ish style scene we see here. But seriously you'd think someone like Fury could have
one of the other Avengers on speed dial around by now. Is this a reboot? maybe an alternate timeline? Does it have anything to
do with Avengers End game?
Seems
like much of the rumors are true as Spiderman is going to go against some
elemental powered beings in this new film. So we got some sort of earth, fire
and water elemental...no electricity though. Guess the writers thought Shocker
got the electric power one covered from the Spider-man Homecoming already. Also
is that Maria Hill?
We
also get to see Spiderman don a new tactical spider suit which I can say is
pretty much a cross between Spider Noir and Agent venom. We can also caught a
glimpse of Nick Fury in the background in one of the scene where he wears this new
suit.
We
also get to see Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio with and without the fishbowl
helmet the character is known for. I'm not a fan of the new re-design of Mysterio but
judging by the patterns on the armor color and pattern design I'm guessing its
most likely Asgardian origin. So the armor is probably a source of his powers
since Mysterio in the comics was nothing more than a master of illusionist and
doesn't have any magical abilities.
