Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck it Ralph 2 Official Teaser Trailer Breakdown

Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck it Ralph 2 Official Teaser Trailer just dropped recently on youtube and being a fan of the first Wreck it Ralph 2 movie I've decided to break it down as much as I could. This is just a teaser trailer so I doubt we would get much out from this one but we can always make fan theories of our own.

For those not familiar with the series Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck It Ralph 2 was an upcoming sequel to Wreck It Ralph. The first movie was both fun, adventurous with enough comedy and a heartwarming surprisingly good story to boot. It also had a ton of video game character cameos for every game nerd on the planet. And fans have been asking for a sequel since it first shown in theaters.

So with that out of the way lets dive into the Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck it Ralph 2 Official Teaser Trailer to see what we can find.

The sequel opens up with a very matrix-ey like opening even before the Disney logo pops in with the binary numbers. Is this a hint that maybe Ralph and the video game characters are jumping into the real world or vice versa. One can only wonder but its not a bad idea on to itself.

Here we got the old arcade store where the games like Wreck It and the other 8-bit games are found. It looks old and has seen better days judging by this scene. Are the old games in danger of being obsolete since if you follow normal trends most games now are either mobile or online.

The owner carrying a wifi unit which he connects later to his computer which also connects to the arcade.

Here we see Ralph and Vaneloppe checking out the new door that opened up in the game station called wifi. You can tell that much of the game character are missing. Either the producers are toning down on the game character cameo or its a plot device and much of the characters have moved on due to the introduction of the internet. Theres a night elf and some armored guy talking to Q-bert at the lower right corner.

Again Im really making my own theories at this point so anything can go anywhere at this point in terms of the why and who and the plot and characters in the movie.

Raplh and Vaneloppe eventually find themselves in the mainframe like grid computer thingie by accident and and is sent through the internet. That game mainframe thingie does give a matrix or Tron vibe to it which half of me is hoping they will explore further. A Tron like game being played by Vaneloppe and Ralph sounds cool. And Vane being a racer character would probably own it.

But then we got transported to the main internet line with a lot of internet sites and product logos and Im sure Im not the only one getting the Emoji movie feel at this point. Half of me is hoping they won't go that route and stick with internet and mobile games for the most of the movie.

Theres also this scene where Ralph encounters these characters that tried to offer or sell him something. And yes those folks remind me of those characters from the Movie Inside Out. Not sure if its intentional.

Theres even an Ebay area where they sell some really strange stuff. Theres a unicorn figurine and a magic lamp being auctioned at the background.

Eventually Ralph and Vanellope stumbles upon some mobile games and Ralph had a bit too much fun with the pancakes and...stuff happened.

Yeah Vanellope face pretty much says it all at this point. I'm surprised they went this far even for a mere teaser trailer. Guess Disney is going the extra distance for this one.

And yes that kids going to be scared for life unless you know they sort of being the game it resets itself. I mean in the game tamagochi your virtual pet dies but you can always start over again.

The teaser trailer didnt offer much in terms of story villains aside from its going to be more than just your 8-bit adventure game but more of an internet mobile game adventure. Still hoping they up the stakes on this one and let the good guys battle some video game bosses or maybe we could get to see King Candy again in some form.

Regardless Im really hyped for this one being a big fan of the original and a video game fan.
