12 Cartoons that Needs a Reboot

Many would agree that the 80's and the 90's was considered the boom of Saturday morning cartoons. There's pretty much a lot of good stuff back then enough to make at the least five Top 12 list. It was that good of a time. Even today you can just see how much a cartoon like Transformers is churning in lots of profit at the movies with each new installment regardless if the movie plot even followed the source material or even makes sense. We even get treated with a bunch of reboots recently as well that with Thundercats and the latest Transformers cartoon version. Heck, even Duck Tales are making a good reboot. But I think we all can agree that there are still a lot more of those old cartoons that we would like to see make a rebooted comeback. So I decided to make a list of my own.

Since there are rumors of a new He-man movie coming out and maybe a Swatkats reboot or continuation in the works Im not going to include those on the list. The 80's and 90's had plenty of good cartoons so I'm pretty sure a lot of them wont make it on this one but that just goes to show how great they all are. In any case this is my list of 12 Cartoons that Needs a Reboot.

Mummies Alive!

Does anybody still remember Mummies Alive? If Power Rangers and Mummies has an undead child it would be this show. Four guardian mummies coming back to life to protect the reincarnated spirit of an Egyptian pharaoh from an evil sorcerer out to kill him, Each mummy aligned with the power of an Egyptian god. able to call upon it for magical armor and powers to fight superhuman evildoers. its mixes Egyptian themes with a modern twist as they battle characters based out of Egyptian myth and lore.

The Centurions: Power Xtreme

The series revolves around the conflict between Doc Terror's cyborgs and the Centurions who uses hard suit armor that can be outfitted with various weapons to deal with any given danger. It themes focused on mostly how technology can be used and abused and with how technology is used these days this show is perfect for a reboot

Dino Riders

A cartoon about the battle between the good Valorians and the evil Rulons on prehistoric Earth. This is like combining Predator, Transformers and Jurassic park in one film. Folks have been wanting to have this movie done for years or more and frankly I'm with them. Theres even a fanart on how awesome these beasts would look like if rendered on the big screen.

Spiral Zone

A cartoon based on toys made by company Bandai, the series is about an international group of soldiers fighting to free the world from a scientist who controls much of the Earth's surface. This is like GIJoe mix with a zombie apocalypse setting. Personally I think it would be awesome seeing the RimFire roll into battle. This cartoon sports one of the most awesome bikes in a cartoon since Akira's.

Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors

Anyone remembers this cartoon? Its the story of Jayce and his group that fights off plant vehicles bent to control all life in the galaxy. His search for his father will hopefully win the war.  This is like a sci fi flick, Mad Max and the Little Shop of Horrors was combined into one. It even has some magical elements thrown in.

Inhumanoids

Inhumanoids tells the story of the scientist-hero group, Earth Corps, as they battle a trio of subterranean monsters called the Inhumanoids with the aid of elemental beings, the Mutores. The story is a mix of GIJoe meet the Lord of the Rings meet Resident Evil with its talking trees, humanoid rocks and giant hulking zombies

BraveStarr

Set in the 23rd century on a multi-cultural desert planet called New Texas it follows the story of BraveStar a space sheriff who fights of bad guys. its mix of magic and futuristic elements with a western feel to. It was well loved back in the 80's. Its like the right mix of Starwars and a Western

SilverHawk

Commander Stargazer recruited the SilverHawks, heroes who are "partly metal, partly real," to fight the evil Mon*Star, an escaped alien mob boss. Its pretty much like Thundercats but with cybernetic humanoids with silver armored hawk like armor. Personally I think this will be awesome reboot and even as a real life adaptation with proper cgi effects.

Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light

A story is set on the planet Prysmos, an advanced society where all electronics and complex machinery no longer function and the people are forced to rely on the old magics. The show mixes magic in a world where technology no longer exist and magical creatures now roam yet still being its own thing. Its a short lived series that many fans would love to see rebooted.

M.A.S.K (TV Series)

Short for Mobile Armored Strike Kommand) is a special task force featuring an array of characters, led by Matt Trakker, with transforming vehicles engaged in an ongoing battle against the criminal organization V.E.N.O.M. (an acronym for Vicious Evil Network Of Mayhem), with an emphasis on super-powered masks worn by the characters. It sort of mixes GIJoe and Transformers and judging by how good those shows are its about time MASK made a comeback

Saber Rider and the Star Sheriff

A series was based on Star Musketeer Bismarck.  It is set in the distant future. Humans have colonized planets across the universe, creating a New Frontier of man. In order to protect these new settlers and maintain law and order in the New Frontier, Earth's Cavalry Command was created. A hit series back in the 80's this show is way way overdue for a reboot or even a movie even.
