Geekatana Review - Mulan (2020) - Once Upon a Time in Mulan

Mulan (2020) is an action drama  film produced by Walt Disney Pictures. It stars Liu Yifei in the title role, alongside Donnie Yen, Jason Scott Lee, Yoson An, Gong Li, and Jet Li in supporting roles. Directed by Niki Caro, with screenplay by Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, Lauren Hynek, and Elizabeth Martin.

 

The first animated Mulan movie by Disney was a guilty pleasure for me so when I knew Mulan was having a live action I was excited. Even though the trailer for this movie hadn't impress me I've decided to give this movie a look since one should never judge a movie by its trailer. There will be minor spoilers so you have been warned.

 

Rogue One: A Starwars Story Movie Review

One final movie to review before we head on to Starwars the Last Jedi and that is Rogue One. I watched this movie twice in threaters one being sponsored by SM Cinema in Mall of Asia in my Mandalorian armor cosplay. I still enjoyed the movie despite sitting on the floor as the cinema was packed. The second being at the 4D cinema at Greenbelt 3. Im doing a quick review of all the Starwars movie in chronological order before watching and doing a review of Starwars the Last Jedi. Ive already done the review of the original trilogy and the prequels, kindly check those out as well.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, or more commonly called Rogue One, was shown in theaters in 2016 and was a film directed by Gareth Edwards. The screenplay by Chris Weitz and Tony Gilroy is from a story by John Knoll and Gary Whitta. It was produced by Lucasfilm and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the first installment of the Star Wars Anthology series, set immediately before the events of the original Star Wars film. The cast includes Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker.
