Well let us move on to the contender which is McDonald's who is also no stranger in the fast food pie making business. Most folks will remember McDonalds for its apple pie but it also has some raspberry, Strawberry and Custard and banana pies. But we are going to focus on their latest which is the Choco pie. A McDonalds pie that was first introduced in Japan and Korea.
First off unlike most McDonalds pies the crust is also made of chocolate which is new. The idea of having a chocolate crust brings out a more chocolate flavor in the pie which is good or bad depending on how much you love chocolates as this could overwhelm certain people. But for chocolate lovers this would be a much welcome treat.
The Choco pie in itself is pretty decent although its a bit too bitter for my taste as the dark chocolate was a bit too much I think that it reminds me of the pinoy favorite "champorado" now in pie form. I guess I was expecting a more choco McMuffin flavored still I'm sure there are folks out there that will find this one to their liking.
