Geekatana Food Review: Aperitif

My first encounter with Aperitif is their little pop up store in Rockwell a ways back and I was immediately blown away on how good and fancy their ice cream dessert are complete with gold chocolate sprinkles topped with a big chunk of strawberry. It's one of those experience you don't easily forget. So it's a sure bet that when they opened their first store it's a near sure bet I'll give it a visit.

Located at the 4th floor of SM Aura in Taguig Aperitif offers one of the best looking dessert and gourmet gift this side of Manila. Widely known for its really fancy desserts and graze boxes which started quite a trend for the country.

Aperatif fancy and luxurious grazing table boxes has been part of local and big gatherings simply for the luxury it represents. It's basically a box full of cheese and charcuterie (cold cooked meats) that you can get with a bottle of your favorite wine. Greatly ideal for weddings and local big gathering or nearly any occasions all over the country.

The idea was originally done with wood table but to keep up with the demand Aperetif switched to boxes but still offer the same great value as the grazing tables did. With prices ranging from around (P1,750) half, medium (P3,150), large (P5,500).

Each box containing French cold cut meats, cheeses, pickles, cornichons and bread among many others imported from Europe. The glazing box also comes with Aparitif signature jams and in premium box a bottle of imported wine or champagne. The Aparitif store at SM Aura also offers patiserrie, pasta, gelatos and cake desserts to scratch that pasta and dessert itch.

We ordered one of their flower shaped gelatos in Capuchino (cause I'm a coffee fan) flavor. Got a box of French macaron and a small glaze box as take out. Sure the price is a bit steep but it's really a special occasion so we don't mind spending the extra cash.

Way I see it we get to celebrate in an extra special way and I get to do a review of how great Aperetif is for my Blog while we are doing. That's more of a win, win situation in the end for me. It's more like hitting two birds with one stone at this point.

We skipped on the wine though since none of us are really good at holding alcohol. Aperitif offer some great sandwiches, cakes and cookies as well so there's basically something for even the most picky dessert person out there.

If you want a really great dessert experience or want something special for that special occasion and don't really mind spending the extra cash for it than Aperitic got you covered. Their glaze box fits nearly any special occasion and their dessert and gelatio is always a treat.
