My Clever Bright Cat Ear Premium Headphones Review

Cat ear headphones has been a craze around the world for quite a while now. Its been a hit for girls and at most around the otaku side of things since probably the introduction of the first catgirl character in anime. And who can blame them these cat ear headphones are both nice and fashionable, not at the same time is a full functioning headphone. Theres barely an otaku, anime or cosplay convention that you dont see someone wearing them either by a casual convention attendant or a cosplayer. And truth be told I have been contemplating of getting myself one soon.

Imagine my surprise and happy I was when I found out that I had happen to win my very own cat ears headphone in an online contest this January courtesy of the awesome folks at Niko Japanese Online Shop. What a way to start a great New Year.

I'm so happy about getting one that I've decided to eventually decided to make a quick review of the said headphone even if I have had the said unit for more than a week prior to writing this Blog article. In any case lets get on with the review.

The headphones are Clever Bright Premium Cat Ears Headphones. The unit is lightweight and sounds great and very compatible with any mobile phone. You can also use it on laptops and IPads and mp3 players. It has an over the ear cushioning for a secure fit and noise reduction for better music enjoyment with a super bass. Because of its stylish look it is also great as gaming headphones.

You can also adjust the headphone straps to fit your head and the size is pretty much your standard headphone size. Id suggest handling them with extra care though specially when putting them on and taking them off since due to the lightweight nature of the headphones the headband part feels rather thin to the touch and could break like most other headphones. But if you always keep that in mind Im sure there will be less issue of them breaking on you.

The power of the lights of the LED cat ears comes from a CR2032 battery that is located in the right ear beside the toggle light switch for the lights. This means you dont need to headphone to be attached to a mobile phone or some external power supply for the unit to work like those USB Fans and the likes do.

The switch for the lights is located on the right side cat ear which is good for those right handed folks. Its right beside where you also have the battery. The LED lights also have four settings which is a an Off mode, an On mode and Short blink and a Long blink mode.

The headphones range are around 950 pesos from Niko Japanese Online Shop which they order straight from Japan. The headphone can also be folded for easy storage and carry.

Features Summary:

Headphones with light up cat ears
LED lights can be turned on/off or set to blink
Light switch behind the right ear.
High quality audio output with super bass
Comfortable padded ear cups
3.5 mm connector
foldable design

Overall the Cat Ear Headphones are both for aesthetics purposes as well as functionality. You have all the functions of a bass sound headphone while having the cat ears look in one package. The cat ears alone is a sure head turner walking on the streets going about your usual thing. The headphones goes excellent fashion accessory and gadget that you can use nearly anywhere and at anytime. If you have the budget to get one Id suggest getting one yourself or for someone as a gift.
