RWBY Volume 5 Chapter 11 Review

Well Volume 5 Chapter 11 just dropped on youtube and its high time again for me to review it. In the last Chapter we found out that raven has switched sides for her and her tribes self preservation. That she and Salem has planned to set a trap for Qrow and his group with a little help from the headmaster of Haven, Leonardo Lionheart. The last Chapter also concludes the Menagerie arc of Blake. Sun and her are rallying troops to help in the defense of Haven Academy. But will their help make it on time.

Here is my quick review of Chapter 10:

RWBY is an American anime-style web series created by Monty Oum for Rooster Teeth. The show is set in the fictional world of Remnant, where young people train to become Huntsmen and Huntresses to protect their world from the creatures of Grimm.

The Chapter opens up with Qrow and company heading out to their important meeting with Leo. The group looked on edge. Qrow and Ozpin knows something is up. I cant stress of how stupid this idea is since a meeting at night never yielded good result. Guess they are counting on their numbers to bail them out in case of trouble. We also get to see the CCT Tower of Haven.

Eventually the group find themselves in a big hall and the trap is sprung on our heroes. I find it odd that Yang notices Ravens presence first when Grow and her are supposed to be siblings and therefore supposed to be in tune to each others presence. Guess she would know by now since seeing in by her own eyes and ravens mostly following her since as far back at the Yellow Trailer.

It was nice to know that Ruby reminds Raven of Summer Rose so much although Im not sure those two get along much since there is a hint of a love hate relationship going on between her, Summer and Tai which is probably as deep as the Marianas trench since she didnt even blink when Ruby got hit by that fireball.

Cinder and the others joins in via Ravens teleportation Semblance and a fight breaks out instantly when Jaune charges Cinder. I know Jaunes been through a lot but I personally think that was a stupid move. Its like all those training wasted for him just charging in without a plan and Jaune is supposed to be the strategist of the group. Strategy is pretty much all he's good for right now...and maybe a cannon fodder or meatshield. But charging headstrong into someone who is clearly way better than you is stupid.

So without teamwork and a proper plan their group was easily separated down to one by one duels with opponents they cannot win alone. Its clearly all going downhill for the good guys. Yang fights Mercury to a standstill, Ruby desperately fend off against Emerald, Qrow find himself fighting Raven, Renn and Nora are taking on Hazel and Weiss is trying to hold her own against Vernal. Man, Hazel must be crazy strong if Nora and Renn cant take him out. Nora took out an entire four man team during the Festival with one swing and here they basically a weak filler side character.

If folks think Cinder is still redeemable for her evil ways they wont think about it much after this one. And Raven isnt getting any love from fans on one either since she is a key player why Cinder got inside Haven Academy. This also shows simply how still inexperience they are in handling Cinder and her group. Weiss is way beyond her league. Sure she can take on a big bee but this is Vernel, she is like a watered down version of Cinder.

While this is going on Adam and the White Fang is outside planting preparing to blow stuff up.  Weiss clearly is the worst of the group with Ruby not doing so good herself. Blake better get there with some help fast or theres going to be a lot of angry fans, and RWBY will just be BY.
