My Top 12 Most Anticipated Games of 2018

A new year and new game releases. The year 2017 was already jam packed with great games and this new year is going to be no exception. Theres basically a lot of great games scheduled to be coming out and listing them all will be far too long so I have narrow things up on 12 games instead of the usual 10 that I used to do. 


Take note these are the Top 12 Games Im looking forward to this year So dont blow a gasket if your anticipated games this year dont make this list. Games like Shadow of Colossus good as it is wont be making this list simply because it didnt bring anything notably new aside from the improved graphics. With that out of the way lets get on with the list

12. Sword Art Online: The Fatal Bullet


Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet on February 23 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam. Its released by Bandai Namco. Its a third person shooter with RPG elements where you can play solo or up to four players. Its based on the Gun Gale Online story arc of the Sword Art Online anime but features game exclusive characters like Yuuki and a few others not seen in the SAO anime.

11. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown


id admit that Im a big Ace Combat fan and played most of the games of the series save for a few and Im excited for this new game. The Ace Combat franchise is one of very few action arcade flight video game with an engaging storyline and well developed characters. Ace Combat 6 now features layered clouds and more detailed planes. The story also picks up from Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation. It is developed by Bandai Namco using Enreal Engine 4 and is scheduled for released on the PC, PS4 and XBox One.

10. Dragon Ball Fighter Z


Dragon Ball FighterZ is an upcoming 2.5D fighting game by Arc System Works and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, based on the Dragon Ball franchise for the PlayStation 4Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. It is set to be released January 26, 2018 internationally and February 1, 2018 in Japan. It features three on three fighting gameplay and graphics that is on par with the cartoons. Its a must buy for fighting game fans and Dragonball fans alike.

9. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night


An action-adventure game by ArtPlay and DICO, and published by 505 Games. The game is led by former Castlevania series producer Koji Igarashi. The game follows the protagonist Miriam, an orphan who is afflicted by an alchemist's curse, which is slowly turning her skin into crystal. To stop the curse, Miriam must explore a dangerous castle and locate its summoner, Gebel. The gameplay and visual feels like Symphony of the Night to say the least.

8. Kingdom Hearts 3


Developed and published by Square Enix for the PlayStation 4and Xbox One. Kingdom Hearts III sees many returning gameplay features from the series, while introducing new "Attraction Flow" attacks that incorporate various Disney Parks attractions. The game was built using Unreal Engine 4. Its a sequel many fans of the Kingdom Hearts franchise has been waiting for.

7. Far Cry 5


An action-adventure first-person shooter video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoftfor Microsoft WindowsPlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game is set in the fictional Hope County, Montana, where a preacher named Joseph Seed has risen to prominence. Its basically the same Far Cry game fans all know and love but with a more serious tone and better graphics.

6. Monster Hunter: World


Monster Hunter: World is an action role-playing video game in development and published by Capcom. Set in an open world environment and played from a third-person perspective. Monster Hunter World promises an open world gameplay with no loading time and an expansive multiplayer mode and easier controls for new players.

5. Spider-Man


It is based on the Marvel Comics superhero Spider-Man. It is being developed by Insomniac Games and to be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4 It will tell a new story not tied to a film, comic book or video game. It will cover both the Peter Parker and Spider-Man aspects of the character and will feature an older and more experienced Spider-Man. Featuring awesome quick time events and Arkham Knight style gameplay.

4. Anthem


Developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts. It is slated for a 2018 release on Microsoft WindowsPlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Players will assume the role of a Freelancer, one of a group of people who leave their civilization to explore the surrounding landscape using high tech armored suits. It features real time weather and highly detailed environment to explore.

3. God of War


Its a third-person action-adventure video game in development by Santa Monica Studio and to be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment considered by fans as God of War 4. The game will take players through Norse mythology as opposed to the Greek one that was the previous God of War game

2. The Last of Us Part 2


An adventure survival horror video game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4. story takes place five years after the first game; players will assume control of Ellie and is more darker than the first one.



1. Red Dead Redemption


 A western-themed action-adventure game developed and published by Rockstar Games for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game is a prequel to the 2010 title Red Dead Redemption and follows the story of Arthur Morgan who is a member of the  Dutch van der Linde gang. This sequel will feature a multiplayer mode as well as a single player. And fans cant wait to get their hands on this one.
