A great number of little heroes and villains in costume flocked
Taguig City Hall last October 27, 2017 as the great City of Taguig held a very
special Trick or Treat Halloween Event with this year centering more on Cosplay
Superheroes and Villains.

This isn't the first time such an event was held in Taguig City Hall Grounds but according to one of the staff, this had more participants and kids with nearly three times more than it was last year. Guess more and more kids and their parents are getting into this Halloween spirit.

Kids are treated to "Treats" as they make their way
into the Taguig City Hall as the employers gave them
sweets. The City Hall interior is even decorated like a Halloween fun house and
some of the employees even dressed up for the occasion.
There was even a contest for the best costume held later
that day
with the honorable Mayor of Taguig Lani Cayetano handing the awards and candies to the kids who were all so excited for their treats.

I'm so lucky to be chosen to take part in this event, wearing my Penguin
costume and a good friend of mine sir Richie Roxas dressing
up as the Riddler to help hand out candies alongside the honorable Lani Cayetano on the stage together with the other costumed staff people of Taguig.
Seeing their faces light up and smiling when they see cosplayers in costume and asking us to take photos with them is always a joy for us cosplayers.
There's very little magic in the world and it's a great feeling when you can make a kid smile and someone's day a little brighter and be part of that magic.
We even had photos with kids and parents alike as we roam
around the Taguig City Hall Grounds and entertain the kids and parents.

Halloween is something barely practiced in the Philippines and I'm so glad that it's getting more attention than it had a few years ago or even years before that. It's one of those times where folks and kids can dress up in costume even if they are not cosplayers and just have fun.
It was a tiring day for everyone for both all the staff and the kids and their parents but I'm sure everyone went home with smiles...especially the kids who went home with a basket full of treats and candies.
